Lightmark is designed to be a simple and local Mac app. It does not require an account and does not collect analytics or telemetry.

Your files

Your Markdown files stay on your Mac. Lightmark reads and edits them locally and does not upload their contents anywhere.

Lightmark stores basic preferences and recent-file information locally on your Mac. This information is not sent to us.

We use Cloudflare for hosting and basic, cookie-free website analytics. We do not use advertising trackers. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Links you open from Lightmark or its website may lead to other services with their own privacy policies.

If a Markdown file contains an image hosted online, loading that image may connect directly to the website hosting it.

If you contact us, we receive whatever information you choose to include in your message and use it only to respond to you.

If Lightmark's privacy practices change, this page will be updated accordingly.
